Owners who are classified as respected and active have the right to put players on their own team up in the Restricted Free agent forum. If an owner bids on such a player prior to Monday at midnight then the player will take part in a bidding war to be completed by the the bid deadline in the same fashion as bids. The money will go towards the players original owners debt or league fee first before any money is awarded to the owner. Once a player is put in the restricted free agent forum he will remain until someone bids on him or the owner can pay 2$ to put him back on his roster (not eligible if the player is bid on). If a player is not bid on or removed by its original owner by the trade deadline then he will be a unrestricted free agent and the owner has no rights to this player for the following season. Once a player is put on the restricted free agent forum he will not count against your roster unless you pay 2$ to bring him back on your team.
To become an active respected owner.. you must be in the league for multiple seasons and frequently take part in bids... log in at least once a week and respond to trade offers that are asked of you. Check your profile and your owner status is listed on that page.
A player can also be placed in the Free agency forum with a minimum bid request making the starting bid whatever amount you choose and nobody can bid on that such player unless they bid the minimum bid. A player will remain on this list and not count against the original owners roster unless they pay 2$ to bring him back (not eligible once his minimum bid has been placed by another owner)
or he becomes an unrestricted free agent at the trade deadline.
Teams will have to pay a 1$ fee on each player that is put in the restricted free agent forum if he goes unclaimed before the trade deadline by their original owner or a new one. This fee is to keep scrub players who deserve to be released from ending up here.
