I think this trade should work out for you, while giving you trade bait you can package with Hedberg... Kings will trade... G-Dan Turple (Atlanta)
For G-Curtis McElhinney - Calgary Flames
OR
G-Peter Delmas - Colorado
OR
C-Shawn Matthias - Florida
OR
G-John Curry, Pitt
Turple after Atlanta drafted him had 7 Shut Outs, 40 Wins, 2.25 GAA, and a .924 Save Percentage in the OHL... He is only 23 years old, has a fair amount of upside, I figure he can at least crack the NHL as a backup for the Thrashers... Better to get him now in a trade while his value isn't that high... Look at past goalies I bid on or owned, they cost a 1st rounder, Toskala, Huet, the latter a guy I bid on when he was on the Manchester Monarchs in the AHL ... You know Atlanta goalies are injury prone, he could see NHL time this year... At worse you can probably package him in a deal with your other Atlanta goalie to the Avalanche... I guess let me know, I probably will offer these guys in another trade so they might be gone if wait too long... Tell me which option you want to do... I'll keep this trade open until Oct 8th at 11:48 PM... I might still do deal after that but I'm not obligated to...

2006-07: Turple signed a rookie contract in 2006 and was assigned to the ECHL Gwinnett Gladiators. He had the worst save percentage in the ECHL (minimum 1440 minutes played), with .879, and the third-worst GAA at 3.77 in the regular season. Turple played just one out of four games in the playoffs, an overtime loss.
2007-08: Spent most of the year backing up veteran Craig Kowalski with the ECHL Gwinnett Gladiators. He was passed over in favor of Kowalski for a call-up to AHL Chicago, but was lent to Grand Rapids.
Thanks for the offer Bereton but im settled now with the free agent bids.

A simple yes or no would have been easy enough... He is supposed to be on the AHl club this year, Ellis had shitty numbers before finally making it as the starter on the Preds last year... Turple is 6'6 it takes those goalies longer to grow into their bodies...
Lets look at Delmas who in the QMJHL had a 2.84 GAA, with 34 Games played, 17 wins, and a mediocre .903 Save Percentage... Not even in league with Turple in any way shape or form... Curtis McE signed a 1 year deal so he probably wont even be in the NHL next year or on Calgary... John Curry is pretty much a system backup goalie for the Penguins...
Don't be trying to insult my trade offers or my players... I doubt any of those 3 Goalies I asked for as options are going to pan out in the least... I figured I have Budaj, I'd make an offer for the Colorado System goalie from Turple who would give you 2 Atlanta Goalies... Considering Hedberg got shelled for 9 goals the last start, he wont be around much longer with those numbers... While Turple had 40 Wins, more Wins than Starts for Delmas... Maybe you should realize Delmas is a likely dud, he can't even get a starting job in Jr. Hockey hahaha... If organizations knew how to handle Goalies, the Sharks wouldn't have traded Kipper to Calgary when he was their 3rd Goalie...

I dont think its very hard to insult you. :] Hmmm, if you stopped at think you would have been right ...
Funny how Atlanta mismanaged their goalies since this offer, to the point Ondrej is ready to play in Russia, refusing to report to the AHL, and demanding a trade hehe... Turple is the man in the AHL now, he don't have to contend with an old Oilers goalie or any other rejects anymore ... The Avs were bad enough to sign Raycroft with his .876 Save Percentage and dazzling 3.92 GAA... Avs have developed HOF level goalies like Budaj & Aebishitzer too hehe... He looked good letting up 6 goals on like 20 something shots ...
I doubt Turple can beat out Hedberg coming off his .892 Save Percentage & 3.46 GAA... At least Turple has a winning record at every level of pro hockey he has played unlike old man Hedberg ... You could have at least posted his improved numbers in the ECHL, I guess cutting & pasting from the Hockey Future site has its drawbacks hehe... Craig is a good minor league pro goalie, but he isn't 6'6, last year he had 2 wins and 1 Shut Out in 4 AHL games...
Heh even the Oilers goalies had to do time in the ECHL and they were 1st round picks... It isn't like the days of Steve "tart cart" Webb when him making the Islanders/NHL was a miracle on Ice... They basically combined with the old IHL if I remember right, either way its a drastic step up from Junior Hockey... For a late round Pick I think Turple has been on track for his development... I just don't like atlanta, there isn't any real logic behind it, if he was with a team I liked more that would be fine ...
Anyways I don't see you making me any trade offers, I guess I am wasting my time offering you any ...
