Colton Orr took Fedoruk out with a right hand and the two teams will meet on league night in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup...
As of now, power foward Todd Bertuzzi
will make his first start of the season in game one of the Stanley Cup Finals for the Blackhawks, he has been out of the lineup with a back injury since the start of the season.
In the lone game Friday night the Blackhawks had their leader on defense Scott Niedermayer get an Overtime goal and an assist to give the Blackhawks the early lead going into Saturday.
Patrick Roy's decision to insert Todd Bertuzzi backfired as he collected two minors which cost the Blackhawks Game 1. The Blackhawks finished with 3.50 to Avalanche's 3.75 so the game went down to what goalie had more saves between Hasek and Lehtonen.
Game two was once again a back and forth battle but this time Roy went with Nash instead of Bertuzzi.. Nash scored a goal in the closing seconds of his game.. Blackhawks goaltender Giguere got the win in overtime, allowing only two goals and added an assist to keep the Blackhawks in the game..

Game 3 was decided by Goaltending, Kari Lehtonen once again outplayed his counterpart by allowing two goals getting the win and stopping thirty-four shots.. Lehtonen won his game in overtime a loss would have given the Stanley Cup to the Blackhawks.. Eric Staal and Dany Heatley got the lone goals for Colorado..
Spezza had two goals, Thorton, Nash and Kariya had a goal and Osgood got the win and allowed two goals accompaied by an assist but it wasn't enough to keep pace with a stellar Kari Lehtonen who ended a nine year Stanley Cup drought for Colorado..which spanned two owners..
